Arts & Music Wedgewood / Houston - March 1, 2014 - Nashville, Tennessee
A 4 hour Modular improvisation performance exploring the relationship between blurred perception and clarity. To achieve this I set up in the center of a pitch black 25,000 SF empty warehouse with the sound emanating from the center of the space. Only one table lamp was used to light the performance table.
As you enter the warehouse you see a speck of light off in the distance in the pitch black, as you hear the performance blurred by the reverb, delays and reflections of immense space.
As you travel closer to the center you start to make out the performer and the sound becomes much more defined the closer you get.
As you leave to exit the space the experience happens in reverse.
